On Wednesday, 20 June, 2018, the Acropolis Museum will celebrate its ninth anniversary! The Museum’s exhibition halls and restaurant will remain open until midnight, with free admission after 8 pm.
Gallery talks “Eleusis. The Great Mysteries”
On the day of the Museum’s anniversary, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the temporary exhibition “Eleusis. The Great Mysteries”, together with an archaeologist-host, where important artifacts related to the Eleusinian Mysteries can be discovered, along with the close ties that once existed between Eleusis, Athens and the Acropolis.
Greek: 10 am. 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm.
English: 12:30 pm, 5:30 pm.
Duration: 45 minutes
Participation: For registration, please stop at the Information Desk inside the Museum entrance on Wednesday, 20 June, 2018. Each session has limited availability; first come, first served. The gallery talks are free of charge. Only an admission ticket to the temporary exhibition is required (€3).
Music concert | Athens Big Band concert
“A Journey Through Time in Jazz Music”
On the same day, at 9 pm, visitors can enjoy a concert of favorite jazz tunes, performed in the Museum’s entrance courtyard by the Athens Big Band.
